Children Kindergarten – 5th grade (Room 201)
This class, based on a curriculum called Feasting on the Word, will introduce children to key stories from the Bible, build relationships, and reinforce Christian living principles. As an added benefit, this curriculum is coordinated with the pastor's preaching plan, so that children will often hear familiar content proclaimed in worship. Imagine how exciting that will be for the whole family!
Class leaders: Debby Fadlevich, Barb Willett, and Alice Morton
Middle and High School Youth (upstairs Youth Room)
Based on Simple Sundays, a Presbyterian publication, this class helps youth discover how the Bible will help them handle real-life situations. For example, Does Jesus Want Me to Give Up My Smartphone? Youth in this class will have hands-on activities, discussions, and connect with other young people seeking to learn more about following Jesus.
Class leaders: Carolyn Summerford, Terry Humleker, and Matt Coleman.
Young Adults (Room 6)
Exploring the Bible in Unique Ways is our theme for our Young Adult class. Class members will be able to select topics and scriptures they would like to explore and plan activities and projects pertinent to the selected topics. This class is designed to engage young adults and empower them to become future leaders of the church.
Class leaders: Elizabeth McDaniel and Lily Hefner will be leading this class.
Adults: Connections (Room 1)
Connections is based on the Revised Common Lectionary and aims to provide a better understanding of the Bible, the liturgical seasons of the church, and the sermons offered in worship. Conversational learning will promote relationships and spiritual enrichment.
Class leaders: Don Stoner and Marcy Tyner
Adults: The Wired Word (Room 4)
The Wired Word explores contemporary issues from a Christian perspective, and includes Bible study, discussion questions, and helpful reference materials. This class helps us connect the Christian faith to a complex world. Each week the Wired Word is emailed to leaders and class members in advance of the Sunday morning class.
Class leaders: Jean Meredith, Denise Sumerix, and David Summerford.
